Bitterroot Audubon Program: Nature Journaling, Bitterroot Audubon’s October program will feature Valerie Bayer, who will discuss the exploration and study of nature, including birds, through pictures, numbers and words in a journal of the nature. To record our observations of trees, plants, birds, and other elements of nature, whether in a seated place or while hiking, we need to slow down and look, listen, smell, touch, and maybe even savor our environment more attentively. A nature journal can deepen our experience and relationship with nature. Valerie is a Master Naturalist from Montana and has taught nature journaling at Bitterroot College, local libraries, and high schools. In addition, she organizes conferences and workshops on nature journaling. Valérie’s mission is to help others put their relationship with nature on paper through nature journaling. Valerie’s presentation will be at 7 p.m. in the Bitterroot Valley Church gymnasium at the Nazarene’s Neely Center at 5th Avenue and A Street in Victor. The meeting is free and the public is invited. If you cannot attend in person, the presentation will also be broadcast on Zoom. To join the Zoom presentation, you must register in advance at:
