Katy’s Central Green Park is celebrating 8 years of providing the Katy community with a space for programming and the opportunity to come together as a community. Celebrate tonight with live music and a celebration of Nigerian culture. Enjoy a free fun event for the whole family (weather permitting.)

Birthday party happening tonight

Tonight, Saturday August 7, 2021, Katy’s Central Green Park will come alive with live music from Nigeria as the park celebrates culture and community on its 8th anniversary.

Free birthday party

The event takes place from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Central Green Park (23501 Cinco Ranch Blvd.) and is free to all.

For 8 years, Central Green Park served the community of Katy as the iconic public space of the Willow Fork Drainage District. The park is located in LaCenterra and opened in June 2013.

Whether it’s special events or community gatherings, Central Green Park brings people together on its open lawn with free access to LaCenterra parking, shops and restaurants.

Events include yoga, live music, tai chi, Spanish classes and upcoming events like the next Back to School Glow Party and more.

Lee Greenwood will give a free concert

On August 27, 2021 from 7:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., residents of Katy will enjoy a live concert with Lee Greenwood. This iconic patriotic event is made possible by Cinco MUD and Willow Fork Drainage District.

The event is free, but participants are requested to bring a non-perishable food item to donate to Katy Christian Ministries’ pantry.

Sometimes the weather can delay or cancel events. When in doubt, always look at their Facebook page for updates.
