Lawyers and community volunteers will help Venezuelan nationals apply for TPS at Orlando Immigration Clinic on Saturday – Central Florida News
Local lawyers and church and community volunteers will help Venezuelan nationals apply for temporary protective status at Faith United Methodist Church in Orlando this weekend. President Joe Biden extended TPS status to some 300,000 Venezuelans in March, allowing them to continue living and working in the United States.

Latino Leadership Executive Director Marucci Guzman has organized the free immigration clinic which will run from 10 to 2 on Saturday.
Guzman says that since the TPS program was extended in March, they have received numerous calls for help filling out the application.
She says that’s why she hopes the lawyers with Florida Justice for Our Neighbors and clinic parishioners will be able to help as many people as possible with the form.
“We have legal volunteers and just lay people volunteering their time, and then through Virtual Zoom they will actually speak with attorneys who will review the request to ensure accuracy and ensure all information is collected correctly. “
Guzman says all services provided by the clinic’s legal and community volunteers are free and available in English and Spanish.
She says people should bring whatever they think they need to submit their GST claim.
“So we’re just asking that they bring some ID, that they bring any documents that they think might help improve the process of filling out the application. It’s about thirteen pages so it’ll take a little while. So we just hope that they will bring patience.
