Mid City West offers grants for neighborhood projects
The Mid City West Neighborhood Council has relaunched the Neighborhood Purpose Grant program to fund local schools and nonprofits serving the community. Grant applications up to $2,500 will be reviewed on an ongoing basis by the MCWNC Executive Council.
Grant proposals from local nonprofits and schools may include community gardens, local beautification activities, and neighborhood resource fairs. Creative projects of public interest are encouraged.
Completed applications must include a project budget and must be completed and signed. Nonprofit applicants must submit the organization’s IRS Determination Letter. Applicants from public schools must also submit a letter on school letterhead signed by the principal. Documents can be scanned and electronically signed, and emailed to [email protected] Applications must be submitted by the 15th of each month. Nonprofits may submit applications more than once, but will only be eligible once during the NPG cycle from June 30 to July 1. For more information, email [email protected] or visit midcitywest.org.
