MP Britnee Timberlake to host two Community events next week: the 4e Compassionate Annual Event and a Remembrance Day candlelight vigil
East Orange, New Jersey –Mp Britnee Timberlake will be hosting two separate community events next week in the city of East Orange. The first event entitled “Covered in Compassion” will take place on October 25e at its district office located at 520 Main Street, Suite 1, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The event is aimed at women who have lost their hair due to health problems. In addition to the wig gift, the women will undergo makeup application and massage therapy to celebrate inner and outer beauty while receiving support services for their respective conditions. Covered With Compassion was inspired by the MP’s grandmother, Mary L. Whitley, whom Timberlake used to put on her grandmother’s makeup and hair during her cancer battle to make her smile.
The second event entitled “A Day of Remembrance” will take place on October 28e in front of his district office from 6:15 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The purpose of the candlelight vigil is to honor the lives lost to the Covid-19. All residents of District 34 are encouraged to participate in the event by bringing photos of loved ones to be honored in prayer, song, and a moment of silence with candle lighting. “I send my deepest condolences to members of my community and to those in the State of New Jersey who have lost a loved one to COVID-19. Now is the time for us to come together and make sure we are doing what is necessary to mitigate the loss of additional lives ”, said MP Timberlake. The Assembly Women’s Office is partnering with Essex County to provide vaccine access to those who wish to be vaccinated before or during the candlelight vigil.
