• The Reed City Area District Library is hosting a story hour at 11:30 am Wednesday, March 23, which will include stories and activities. For more information, visit reedcitylibrary.org. or call 231-832-2131.

• The Evart Planning Commission will meet at 5.30pm, March 28, at the Depot, 200 Main Street, Evart. For more information, visit evart.org.

• The Osceola Rabbit and Cavy Breeders Association will be hosting an exhibit on April 2. Pre-registration is due by 6 p.m., March 31. No registration on the day of the exhibition will be accepted. For more information, call 231-679-5554.

• Mecosta County’s Project Starburst and Lakeland Title will be sponsoring a soup and bread dinner fundraiser from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., March 23 at Three Girls Bakery, 106 N. Michigan Ave., Big Rapids. Tickets are $20 for the adult meal and $10 for youth under 18. The meal will include a soup of your choice, a bread roll and biscuits. • Tom Kunse, candidate for State Representative in the 100th Ward, will host a “Meet and Greet” from 5 to 7:30 p.m., March 31 at the Osceola Grand Hotel, 940 W. 7th St., Evart. The event will be an open house with light refreshments. Donations are welcome, but not required.

• Get Crafty, 104 N. Main St., Evart is hosting a paint party from noon to 3 p.m., April 2. Prepay online at getcraftyevart.com.

• The Osceola-Lake Conservation District is hosting a beekeeping class with Koffi Kpachavi, founding member of the Fremont Area Beekeepers Club, from 10 a.m. to noon, April 9, at Reed City Depot, 200 N. • The Great American Crossroads Celebration Committee will meet for a planning session at 5:30 pm April 14 at Sunny’s Sports Bar and Grill in Reed City. Anyone interested in being part of the celebration is welcome. Volunteers are needed.

• There will be a drop-in soccer clinic for grades 3-8 from 10 am to noon on April 16 at 4151 Wild Turkey Trail, Reed City. Coach Jeff Pill and several Maranatha Baptist University men’s soccer teams will lead the clinic. To register for the clinic, go to fbcreedcity.com/youth-sports.

• The Evart Garden Club is looking for volunteers to help plant and maintain the downtown gardens. Working days are Wednesday from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. Email [email protected] for more information.

• The Reed City Heritage Museum is open 1-4 pm Friday-Tuesday at 138 W. Slosson Ave., Reed City. Free entry. Groups are welcome.

• Registration is open for AYSO Osceola County Youth Soccer. Children 5 years and older are eligible. Practices begin the week of April 11. • Registration is now open for Reed City Little League. To register, go to reedcitylittleleague.com. Assistance is available with registration fees for those who qualify. For more information on fee assistance, visit everykidsports.org/programs.

• The Crossroads Quilt Guild meets at 6:30 p.m., at the Church of the Nazarene, 5300 220th Ave., Reed City, the fourth Tuesday of each month. Interested persons are welcome without being members. All levels of quilting are encouraged to attend.

• The Reed City Pantry will be open 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesdays, at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church, 831 S. Chestnut St., Reed City. Clients can come once a month for 12 months.

• The Reed City Senior Center at 219 E. Todd Ave., hosts the following events each week: Wednesdays at noon – Fun Bingo; Thursdays at noon-Euchre; Friday – doors open at 10:30 a.m., Early Bird at 11:30 a.m. and Regular Bingo at noon. • Reed City’s winter parking ban is in effect until April 1st. Parking is prohibited on all streets in Reed City between 2:30 a.m. and 6:00 a.m.

• Evart’s winter parking ban is in effect until April 1st. Parking is prohibited on all city streets between 2 a.m. and 6 a.m. This does not apply to the north side of 6th Street between Main and River Streets.
