Ripon Unity in Our Community events underway next week
Unity in our community begins next week in Ripon.
These are the events leading up to the return of National Night Out, which, according to Chief Ed Ormonde of the Ripon Police Department, “will be slightly different this year with more demonstrations from police department staff,” he said. he recently stated.
Unity in our community will begin Wednesday with a âCrime Presentation for Sales Representativesâ at the Bank of Stockton, 234 W. Main St., starting at 5:30 pm Ripon Police Department staff, in collaboration with the Ripon Chamber of Commerce, will host this event.
The public is invited.
A pair of safety presentations will take place Thursday at Bethany Homes and Ripon Senior Center, both starting at 10 a.m.
On Friday, people will have the chance to spend time with local police personnel at Curt Pernice Skate Park, 1250 Hughes Ln., From 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Saturday July 31st is a âShred-itâ event at the police station from 9 am to noon. Residents can bring two boxes of paper disposal materials during this time.
On Monday, August 2, it’s free swings in the batting cages at Mislin Sports Park from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. In addition, a safety demonstration is scheduled for 10 a.m. at Chesapeake Landing.
NNO is Tuesday evening, August 3, at the Ripon Community Center. The annual event was canceled last year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
